Another Thought

(From Bruce A. Smith's God's Greater Glory)

If the exodus (Old Testament) reveals God's heart of love and his willingness to act powerfully for his people, the New Testament events of the incarnation and cross emphasize the same concerns of God but now at the highest level imaginable....

The God of the Bible seeks relationship with those whom he has freely made, and the cross of Christ serves to implore us never to think lightly of the intensity of this desire within the heart of God as expressed supremely here.

...the God of the Bible is one who actively seeks to be in intimate relationship with those whom he has freely made.

Emphasis mine

Hi Dustin! Elizabeth Buzzard here, well Speights now. Kim linked your from her blog and I thought I'd look in and see if it was really you! So if I had to guess looks like you working through some reformed theology stuff. Been down that road myself, in fact I was on staff at The Village for a few years. Life takes funny turns huh?
